PATIO DE COMIDAS
La Plaza Shopping is the principal shopping mall in Ibarra, Ecuador. A 17 year old construction has never been remodeled. The idea of this remodeling project was that it persists over time, so we managed to do it with a modern and timeless design, which with neutral colors, that will continue to look current over time which is the clients wish. We changed from the old ceiling to the floor tiles and lighting. Also we reduced visual noise by harmonizing the signs of the shops inside the food court. Furniture was also a major change, we chose to place fixed tables to ensure the order in the food court, but also we made it flexible in certain family areas so people could join chairs and tables to make bigger dinner areas if needed.
