“Il Podere Grande di Colle Ramole” a removed-from-city location owned by the famous renaissance Ghirlandaio family is now abandoned. Found near Impruneta (South of Florence) which name is derived from a Latin word meaning "within the pine woods". Its an area with many local materials, as the dirt that is found in and around the zone is particularly suited to create a strong and durable clay which characteristic burnt orange coloring (terracota). Olive trees, vineyards, fields, oak, and cypress trees extend for miles in a neverending lands. I begin understanding the past use of an historical biulding; therefore leading to a succesful program and restoration design.
